[406] "'Where should a gift (dāna) be given?' is one thing, great king; but 'Where does what is given bear great fruit?' is quite another. What is given to one who is virtuous (sīlavā), great king, bears great fruit; not so what is given to one who is immoral (dussīla). Well then, great king, I shall question you in return about this very point. You may answer as seems fit to you."
