[409] "Just so, great king, if one has gone forth from home into homelessness — no matter from what family — and he has abandoned five factors and is endowed with five factors, then what is given to him is of great fruit. Which five factors have been abandoned? Sensual desire (kāmacchanda) has been abandoned; ill will (byāpāda) has been abandoned; dullness and drowsiness (thīnamiddha) have been abandoned; restlessness and remorse (uddhaccakukkucca) have been abandoned; doubt (vicikicchā) has been abandoned. These five factors have been abandoned. With which five factors is he endowed? He is endowed with the aggregate of virtue (sīlakkhandha) of one beyond training (asekkha); he is endowed with the aggregate of concentration (samādhikkhandha) of one beyond training; he is endowed with the aggregate of wisdom (paññākkhandha) of one beyond training; he is endowed with the aggregate of liberation (vimuttikkhandha) of one beyond training; he is endowed with the aggregate of the knowledge and vision of liberation (vimuttiñāṇadassanakkhandha) of one beyond training. He is endowed with these five factors. Thus, what is given to one who has abandoned five factors and is endowed with five factors is of great fruit."
