Then there might come a khattiya youth — well trained, skilled of hand, drilled, practiced in archery, fearless, unflinching, undaunted, not one to flee. Would you maintain that man, and would you have need of such a man?"
"I would maintain that man, venerable sir, and I would have need of such a man."
"Then there might come a brāhmaṇa youth … then there might come a vessa youth … then there might come a sudda youth — well trained, skilled of hand, drilled, practiced in archery, fearless, unflinching, undaunted, not one to flee. Would you maintain that man, and would you have need of such a man?"
