[435] Then Māra the Evil One approached the Blessed One; and having approached, he addressed the Blessed One in verse: "What—do you sleep? Why now do you sleep? What is this—you sleep like one struck down? Do you sleep thinking, 'The house is empty'? What is this—you sleep when the sun has risen?"
