[438] Then Māra the Evil One approached the Blessed One and, having approached, spoke this verse in the presence of the Blessed One: "One with sons delights because of sons; just so one with cattle delights because of cattle. Acquisitions (upadhi) are a person's delight; for one who is without acquisitions does not delight."
