[439] "One who has sons sorrows because of sons;
just so one who has cattle sorrows because of cattle.
A person's sorrows come from acquisitions (upadhi);
for he who is without acquisitions does not sorrow."
Then Māra the Evil One (pāpimā), realizing "The Blessed One knows me! The Fortunate One (sugata) knows me!" — miserable and dejected, vanished right there.
