[448] Then the Blessed One, having understood, "This is Māra the Evil One," addressed Māra the Evil One (pāpimā) in verse: "Even if you should roll down the whole of Gijjhakūṭa entire, there is certainly no trembling for the Buddhas who are rightly liberated." Then Māra the Evil One, realizing, "The Blessed One knows me; the Sugata knows me," miserable and dejected, vanished right there. The Sīha Sutta, the second.
