[463] Then the Blessed One, knowing "This is Māra the Evil One (pāpimant)," addressed Māra the Evil One in verse:
"Form (rūpa), feeling (vedayita), perception (saññā), consciousness (viññāṇa), and whatever is conditioned (saṅkhata) —
'I am not this; this is not mine': thus one becomes dispassionate toward them.
One thus dispassionate, whose self is secure, gone beyond all fetters (saṃyojana) —
though searching in every place, even Māra with his army did not find him."
Then Māra the Evil One … disappeared right there.
