[468] Then Māra the Evil One (pāpimā) approached the Blessed One; having approached, he said this to the Blessed One: "Ascetic, did you get any almsfood (piṇḍa)?" "Did you, Evil One, act in such a way that I would get no almsfood?" "Then, venerable sir, let the Blessed One enter Pañcasālā, the brahmin village, for alms a second time; I shall act in such a way that the Blessed One will get almsfood."
