[477] "Even a mountain of gold,
entirely of pure, bright gold—
twice that would not suffice for one:
knowing this, one should fare evenly.
One who has seen suffering (dukkha) and that from which it has its source—
how could such a person incline to sensual pleasures?
Having known acquisition (upadhi) as a tie in the world,
a person should train for the removal of that very thing."
Then Māra the Evil One, [realizing,] "The Blessed One knows me; the Fortunate One (sugata) knows me," pained and dejected, vanished right there.

Its summary (uddāna):
The Boulder (Pāsāṇa), the Lion (Sīha), the Splinter (Sakalika),
the Suitable (Paṭirūpa), and the Mental (Mānasa);
the Bowl (Patta), the Sense Bases (Āyatana), Almsfood (Piṇḍa),
the Farmer (Kassaka)—together with Rulership (Rajja), these are the ten.
