[485] "That is not the earth breaking apart, Samiddhi. That is Māra the Evil One, who has come in order to confound your vision. Go, Samiddhi; dwell right there, heedful, ardent (ātāpī), and resolute." "Yes, venerable sir," the Venerable Samiddhi replied to the Blessed One. Then he rose from his seat, paid homage to the Blessed One, circumambulated him keeping his right side towards him, and departed.
