[492] Then the Blessed One addressed the bhikkhus: "Come, bhikkhus, let us go to Kāḷasilā, the Black Rock on the slope of Mount Isigili, where the clansman (kulaputta) Godhika has used the knife."
"Yes, venerable sir," those bhikkhus replied to the Blessed One.
Then the Blessed One, together with a number of bhikkhus, approached Kāḷasilā, the Black Rock on the slope of Mount Isigili. The Blessed One saw, even from afar, the Venerable Godhika lying on the couch with his shoulders turned.
Now on that occasion a mass of smoke, a pall of darkness, moved to the eastern quarter; it moved to the western quarter; it moved to the northern quarter; it moved to the southern quarter; it moved upwards; it moved downwards; it moved to the intermediate quarters.
