Suttapiṭaka · Saṁyuttanikāya · Sagāthāvaggasaṁyutta · Vol. 15 · Section 52

[52] Then the Blessed One addressed that devatā in verses: "Beings who perceive what can be expressed (akkheyya) are established in what can be expressed; not fully understanding what can be expressed, they come under the yoke of Death (maccu). But having fully understood what can be expressed, one does not conceive 'one who expresses' (akkhātar); for that does not exist for him by which one might speak of him. If you understand, speak, spirit (yakkha)." "Venerable sir, I do not understand in detail the meaning of this that the Blessed One has spoken in brief. It would be good, venerable sir, if the Blessed One would speak to me in such a way that I might understand in detail the meaning of this that the Blessed One has spoken in brief."
