[53] "Whoever conceives himself 'equal,' 'superior,' or else⁵ 'inferior' —
he might on that account engage in dispute;
but for one unshaken amid the three discriminations (vidhā),
no thought 'equal' or 'superior' occurs.
If you understand, speak, yakkha!"⁶
[The devatā:] "Of this too, venerable sir, spoken in brief by the Blessed One, I do not understand the meaning in detail. It would be good for me, venerable sir, if the Blessed One would speak in such a way that I might understand in detail the meaning of what has been spoken in brief by the Blessed One."
