Parinibbānasutta

[624] When the Blessed One had attained final Nibbāna (parinibbāna), simultaneously with the final Nibbāna the Venerable Ānanda spoke this verse: Then there was terror, then there was horripilation, when the Fully Awakened One (sambuddha), endowed with all excellent qualities, attained final Nibbāna.
