[625] When the Blessed One had attained final Nibbāna (parinibbāna), simultaneously with his final Nibbāna the Venerable Anuruddha spoke these verses:
"There was no more in-breathing and out-breathing
in him of steady mind (citta), the Stable One (tādī);
imperturbable, intent upon peace,
the One with Vision attained final Nibbāna.¹
With a mind unshrinking
he endured the feeling (vedanā);
like the quenching (nibbāna) of a lamp
was the liberation (vimokkha) of his mind."
The Brahmā Pentad (Brahmapañcaka).
The summary (uddāna) thereof:
Brahmāsana, Devadatta,
Andhakavinda, Aruṇavatī,
and with the Parinibbāna —
this Brahmā Pentad has been taught.²
The Brahmasaṃyutta is concluded.

"The summary thereof:

and a certain Brahmā, Brahmaloka and Kokālika,
and Āḷavika and Tudu the Brahmā, the bhikkhu Kokālika,
with Sanaṅkumāra, Devadatta, Andhavinda, Aruṇavatī,
with Parinibbāna — fifteen."
