[662] "What has been chanted over with verses is not fit to be eaten by me;
that, brahmin, is not the way (dhamma) of those who see rightly.
The Buddhas reject what has been chanted over with verses;
while the Dhamma exists, brahmin, such is their way of conduct.
But serve with other food and drink
the consummate one (kevalin), the great seer (mahesi),
one whose taints (āsava) are destroyed, in whom remorse (kukkucca) is stilled;
for he is the field for one who seeks merit (puñña)."
