Devahitasutta

[687] One who has known his past abodes (pubbenivāsa), who sees heaven and the states of misery (apāya), and who, moreover, has attained the destruction of birth (jātikkhaya), a sage (muni) consummate in direct knowledge (abhiññā) — here one should give a gift (deyyadhamma); what is given here bears great fruit. For when one sacrifices thus, thus the offering (dakkhiṇā) succeeds.
