[728] Then a number of women, having beautifully adorned themselves, approached the park to see the dwelling.
Then, when the Venerable Vaṅgīsa saw those women, discontent arose in him, and lust assailed his mind (citta).
Then it occurred to the Venerable Vaṅgīsa: "It is truly a loss for me, truly no gain for me! It is truly ill-gained by me, truly not well-gained by me, in that discontent has arisen in me and lust assails my mind. How could it possibly be obtained here that others should dispel my discontent and arouse delight in me? Suppose I, by my very self, were to dispel my own discontent and arouse delight."
