[792] Then the deity (devatā) who dwelt in that forest thicket approached that bhikkhu, and having approached, spoke these verses in the presence of that bhikkhu: "When the noon hour stands still, when the birds have settled down, the vast forest itself murmurs: that appears to me as fearsome.
