[797] [The bhikkhu:] "I do not carry it off, I do not break it; from afar I smell the water-born flower. For what reason, then, am I called 'a thief of scent'? He who digs up the lotus roots, who breaks off the white lotuses— one of such rampant, messy deeds— why is he not so called?"
