[815] Then that laywoman (upāsikā), lamenting, on that occasion spoke these verses: [Siam Raṭṭha page apparatus: (1) Ma. (Burmese edition): this verse does not appear. (2) Ma., Yu. (Burmese and European editions) read: *sabbamahorattaṃ*. (3) The reading should perhaps also be *mettaṃ so*.] "On the fourteenth, the fifteenth, and on the eighth day of the fortnight, and during the special period of the fortnight (pārihārikapakkha), those who observe the uposatha well endowed with the eight factors, and who live the holy life (brahmacariya) — with them the yakkhas do not sport: so have I heard from the arahants. But now today I see yakkhas sporting with Sānu."
