Sānusutta

Suttapiṭaka · Saṁyuttanikāya · Sagāthāvaggasaṁyutta · Vol. 15 · Section 816

[816] On the fourteenth, the fifteenth, and the eighth day of the fortnight, and through the special period of observance (pārihārikapakkha), those who observe the Uposatha well endowed with its eight factors, and who live the holy life (brahmacariya)— with them the yakkhas do not sport: good is what you have heard from the arahants. When Sānu has awakened, you should tell him this word of the yakkhas: "Do no evil deed, whether openly or in secret; if you shall do an evil deed, or if you are doing one now, there is no release for you from suffering (dukkha), even though you fly up and flee."
