[884] Setting at Sāvatthī. Once in the past, bhikkhus, a battle between the devas and the asuras was set in full array. In that battle, bhikkhus, the asuras were victorious and the devas were defeated. And the defeated devas, bhikkhus, kept retreating, headed northward, while the asuras kept pursuing them.
