[897] Then, bhikkhus, those seers (isi), virtuous and of good character, addressed Sakka, lord of the devas, in verse: #1 [Editorial footnote of the Siam Raṭṭha edition: Po. Ma. read "paṭaliyo."] "The odor of the seers long under their vows, loosed from the body, goes with the wind. Withdraw from here, O Thousand-eyed One — the odor of the seers is impure, O king of the devas."
