[362] When this was said, the Venerable Kaccāna said this to the Blessed One: "Venerable sir, as to this view (diṭṭhi) — 'They are Perfectly Enlightened Ones (sammāsambuddhā)' regarding those who are not Perfectly Enlightened Ones — in dependence on what, venerable sir, does this view become manifest?"
