[387] He was dwelling at Sāvatthī … There the Blessed One … "Bhikkhus, it is precisely by way of elements (dhātu) that beings flow together and converge. Those of little learning flow together and converge with those of little learning; the lazy flow together and converge with the lazy; those of poor wisdom flow together and converge with those of poor wisdom. Those of much learning flow together and converge with those of much learning; those of aroused energy (āraddhavīriya) flow together and converge with those of aroused energy; the wise flow together and converge with the wise."
