[513] Then, in the morning, the Venerable Mahākassapa, having dressed and taken his bowl and robe, with the Venerable Ānanda as his attendant monk (pacchāsamaṇa), approached a certain bhikkhunīs' dwelling; having approached, he sat down on the seat that had been prepared. Then a number of bhikkhunīs approached the Venerable Mahākassapa; having approached, they paid homage to the Venerable Mahākassapa and sat down to one side. As those bhikkhunīs sat there to one side, the Venerable Mahākassapa instructed, roused, inspired, and gladdened them with a talk on the Dhamma. Then the Venerable Mahākassapa, having instructed, roused, inspired, and gladdened those bhikkhunīs with a talk on the Dhamma, rose from his seat and departed.
