[655] "Here, friend, as I was descending from Mount Gijjhakūṭa, I saw a headless trunk (asīsakabandha) moving through the air; its eyes and its mouth were on its chest. Vultures, crows, and hawks, swooping down upon it again and again, were tearing at it and rending it apart, while it, it seems, uttered cries of anguish." … "Bhikkhus, that being was an executioner of thieves named Hārika in this very Rājagaha."
