[666] Bhikkhus, just as any families that have few women and many men are hard to assail by robbers and pot-thieves (kumbhatthenaka), even so, bhikkhus, any bhikkhu who has developed and cultivated the liberation of mind (cetovimutti) through loving-kindness (mettā) is hard to assail by non-human beings. Therefore, bhikkhus, you should train thus: 'The liberation of mind through loving-kindness will be developed by us, cultivated, made a vehicle, made a basis, established, consolidated, and well undertaken.' Thus indeed, bhikkhus, should you train.
