[699] This is what the Blessed One said. Having said this, the Sublime One (Sugata), the Teacher, further said this: Not by what is slack, not by feeble strength, is Nibbāna to be attained, the release from all knots (gantha). And this young bhikkhu, this supreme person, bears his final body, having conquered Māra together with his mount. The fourth.
