[711] This is what the Blessed One said. … [Having said this,] the Teacher, the Fortunate One, further said this: When shall I see Nanda — a forest-dweller (āraññaṃ), a wearer of rag-robes (paṃsukūlikaṃ), sustaining himself on food of mixed and miscellaneous sorts (aññābhuñjena), without longing for sensual pleasures? — thus.
