[10] "And, friends, if for one dwelling having attained wholesome states (kusalā dhammā) there were, in this very life, a painful dwelling — with vexation, with despair, with fever — and if, with the breakup of the body, after death, a bad destination (duggati) were to be expected, then the Blessed One would not praise the attainment of wholesome states. But, friends, because for one dwelling having attained wholesome states there is, in this very life, a pleasant dwelling — without vexation, without despair, without fever — and, with the breakup of the body, after death, a good destination (sugati) is to be expected, therefore the Blessed One praises the attainment of wholesome states."
This is what the Venerable Sāriputta said. Elated, those bhikkhus delighted in the Venerable Sāriputta's words.
