[185] "Good, venerable sir," said that bhikkhu … and he asked a further question: "But could there be, venerable sir, diversity (vemattatā) in desire and lust (chandarāga) regarding the five aggregates subject to clinging?"
"There could be, bhikkhu," the Blessed One said. "Here, bhikkhu, it occurs to someone: 'May I be of such form (rūpa) in the future; may I be of such feeling (vedanā) in the future; may I be of such perception (saññā) in the future; may I be of such volitional formations (saṅkhārā) in the future; may I be of such consciousness (viññāṇa) in the future.' Thus, bhikkhu, there could be diversity in desire and lust regarding the five aggregates subject to clinging."
