[19] "And how, householder, is one empty of sensual pleasures (kāma)? Here, householder, a certain one is devoid of lust (vītarāgo) for sensual pleasures, devoid of desire, devoid of affection, devoid of thirst, devoid of fever, devoid of craving (taṇhā). Thus, householder, is one empty of sensual pleasures." [Editorial footnote in the Siam Raṭṭha edition: "In some places the reading 'avigatarāgo' and so forth is also seen."]
