[314] "But, friend Sāriputta, what dhammas should an arahant attend to carefully (yoniso manasikātabbā)?" "An arahant too, friend Koṭṭhita, should carefully attend to these same five aggregates subject to clinging (pañcupādānakkhandhā) as impermanent, as suffering (dukkha), as a disease, as a boil, as a dart, as misery, as an affliction, as other, as disintegrating, as empty, as non-self. For an arahant, friend, there is nothing further to be done, nor any addition to what has been done; yet these dhammas, when developed and cultivated, lead both to a pleasant dwelling in this very life and to mindfulness and clear comprehension."
