[493] Sāvatthī. Bhikkhus, whatever is the arising, the persistence … of craving for forms (rūpataṇhā) … the manifestation of aging and death … whatever is the arising, the persistence, the production, the manifestation of craving (taṇhā) for dhammas — this is the arising of suffering (dukkha), the persistence of diseases, the manifestation of aging and death.
