[63] Bhikkhus, so long as beings have not directly known, as it really is (yathābhūta), the gratification of these five aggregates subject to clinging (upādānakkhandhā) as gratification, the danger as danger, and the escape as escape, for just so long, bhikkhus, beings have not dwelt escaped, detached, and released from the world with its devas, with its Māra, with its Brahmā, from this generation with its ascetics and brahmins, with its devas and humans, with a mind made free of boundaries. But when, bhikkhus, beings directly knew, as it really is, the gratification of these five aggregates subject to clinging as gratification, the danger as danger, and the escape as escape, then, bhikkhus, beings dwell escaped, detached, and released from the world with its devas, with its Māra, with its Brahmā, from this generation with its ascetics and brahmins, with its devas and humans, with a mind made free of boundaries.
