[82] "Good, good, Ānanda! Whatever form, Ānanda, is past, ceased, changed — its arising was evident, its passing away was evident, its alteration while persisting was evident. Whatever feeling (vedanā) … whatever perception … whatever volitional formations … whatever consciousness is past, ceased, changed — its arising was evident, its passing away was evident, its alteration while persisting was evident. It is of these dhammas, Ānanda, that arising was evident, that passing away was evident, that alteration while persisting was evident.
"Whatever form, Ānanda, is unborn, unmanifested — its arising will be evident, its passing away will be evident, its alteration while persisting will be evident. Whatever feeling … whatever perception … whatever volitional formations … whatever consciousness is unborn, unmanifested — its arising will be evident, its passing away will be evident, its alteration while persisting will be evident. It is of these dhammas, Ānanda, that arising will be evident, that passing away will be evident, that alteration while persisting will be evident.
