[150] "Bhikkhus, whatever is not yours, abandon it; when that is abandoned by you, it will be for your welfare and happiness. And what, bhikkhus, is not yours? The eye (cakkhu), bhikkhus, is not yours; abandon it; when that is abandoned by you, it will be for your welfare and happiness. Forms (rūpā) are not yours; abandon them; when those are abandoned by you, it will be for your welfare and happiness. Eye-consciousness (cakkhuviññāṇa) is not yours; abandon it; when that is abandoned by you, it will be for your welfare and happiness. Eye-contact (cakkhusamphassa) is not yours; abandon it; when that is abandoned by you, it will be for your welfare and happiness. … Whatever feeling (vedanā) arises with mind-contact (manosamphassa) as condition — whether pleasant, painful, or neither-painful-nor-pleasant — that too is not yours; abandon it; when that is abandoned by you, it will be for your welfare and happiness. Bhikkhus, whatever is not yours, abandon it; when that is abandoned by you, it will be for your welfare and happiness."
The ninth.
