[190] "Bhikkhus, I will teach the dhammas that are subject to clinging (upādāniyā dhammā) and the clinging (upādāna). Listen to that. And what, bhikkhus, are the dhammas subject to clinging, and what is the clinging? There are, bhikkhus, forms cognizable by the eye that are wished for, desirable, agreeable, pleasing, connected with sensuality, provocative of lust. These, bhikkhus, are called the dhammas subject to clinging. The desire and lust (chandarāga) therein — that is the clinging therein. … There are, bhikkhus, tastes cognizable by the tongue … There are, bhikkhus, dhammas cognizable by the mind that are wished for, desirable, agreeable, pleasing, connected with sensuality, provocative of lust. These, bhikkhus, are called the dhammas subject to clinging. The desire and lust therein — that is the clinging therein."

Its summary (uddāna):
Two were spoken on Māra's snare, and on the world and the strands of sensual pleasure;
Sakka and also Pañcasikha, Sāriputta and Rāhula;
the fetter (saṃyojana) and the clinging — by these the chapter is proclaimed.
