[215] "It is a gain for you, bhikkhus; it is well gained by you, bhikkhus: you have obtained the opportune moment (khaṇa) for living the holy life (brahmacariyavāsa). Bhikkhus, I have seen the heavens named after the six bases for contact (phassāyatanikā saggā). There, whatever form one sees with the eye, one sees only a form that is desirable, not a form that is undesirable; one sees only a form that is lovely, not a form that is unlovely; one sees only a form that is agreeable, not a form that is disagreeable. … Whatever taste one savours with the tongue … whatever dhamma one cognizes with the mind, one cognizes only what is desirable, not what is undesirable; one cognizes only what is lovely, not what is unlovely; one cognizes only what is agreeable, not what is disagreeable. It is a gain for you, bhikkhus; it is well gained by you, bhikkhus: you have obtained the opportune moment for living the holy life."
