[220] Bhikkhus, what is not yours — abandon it; when it has been abandoned by you, it will be for your welfare and happiness. And what, bhikkhus, is not yours? Forms (rūpā), bhikkhus, are not yours; abandon them; when they have been abandoned by you, they will be for your welfare and happiness. Sounds, odours, tastes, tangibles, and mental phenomena (dhammā) are not yours; abandon them; when they have been abandoned by you, they will be for your welfare and happiness. Just as, bhikkhus, whatever grass, sticks, branches, and foliage there are in this Jetavana … even so, bhikkhus, forms are not yours; abandon them; when they have been abandoned by you, they will be for your welfare and happiness. Sounds, odours, tastes, tangibles, and mental phenomena are not yours; abandon them; when they have been abandoned by you, they will be for your welfare and happiness.
The sixth.
