[71] At Sāvatthī. There indeed…. "Bhikkhus, what is not yours, abandon it. When it has been abandoned by you, it will be for your welfare and happiness. And what, bhikkhus, is not yours? Form (rūpa), bhikkhus, is not yours: abandon it. When it has been abandoned by you, it will be for your welfare and happiness. Feeling (vedanā) is not yours: abandon it. When it has been abandoned by you, it will be for your welfare and happiness. Perception (saññā) is not yours…. Volitional formations (saṅkhārā) are not yours: abandon them. When they have been abandoned by you, they will be for your welfare and happiness. Consciousness (viññāṇa) is not yours: abandon it. When it has been abandoned by you, it will be for your welfare and happiness."
