[222] Bhikkhus, the eye is suffering (dukkha). Whatever cause and whatever condition there is for the arising of the eye, that too is suffering. Arisen from suffering, bhikkhus, how could the eye be happiness (sukha)? … The tongue is suffering. Whatever cause and whatever condition there is for the arising of the tongue, that too is suffering. Arisen from suffering, bhikkhus, how could the tongue be happiness? … The mind (mano) is suffering. Whatever cause and whatever condition there is for the arising of the mind, that too is suffering. Arisen from suffering, bhikkhus, how could the mind be happiness? Seeing thus … he understands: "… there is no more coming to any state of being."
