[310] Then, bhikkhus, that man, frightened of the four vipers of fierce heat and terrible venom, would flee in whatever direction he might. They would say to him thus: "Good man, these five murderous enemies are following close behind you, thinking, 'Wherever we see him, right there we shall deprive him of life.' Good man, whatever must be done by you, do that."
