[388] Bhikkhus, these three feelings (vedanā) are impermanent (anicca), conditioned (saṅkhata), dependently arisen (paṭiccasamuppanna), subject to destruction, subject to vanishing, subject to fading away, subject to cessation. Which three? Pleasant feeling, painful feeling, neither-painful-nor-pleasant feeling. These, bhikkhus, are the three feelings that are impermanent, conditioned, dependently arisen, subject to destruction, subject to vanishing, subject to fading away, subject to cessation.
