[449] And what, bhikkhus, is the unworldly rapture (pīti) that is more unworldly than the unworldly? When a bhikkhu whose taints (āsava) are destroyed reviews his mind (citta) liberated from lust (rāga), reviews his mind liberated from hatred, reviews his mind liberated from delusion, there arises rapture: this, bhikkhus, is called the unworldly rapture that is more unworldly than the unworldly.
