[573] "And what, venerable sir, is the liberation of mind (cetovimutti) through nothingness (ākiñcaññā)? Here, venerable sir, a bhikkhu, having completely transcended the base of the infinity of consciousness (viññāṇañcāyatana), [aware that] 'there is nothing,' enters and dwells in the base of nothingness (ākiñcaññāyatana). This, venerable sir, is called the liberation of mind through nothingness."
