[639] Therein, headman, as for the one who enjoys sensual pleasures (kāmabhogī) who seeks wealth both righteously and unrighteously, both with violence and without violence — having sought wealth righteously and unrighteously, with violence and without violence, he makes himself happy and satisfied, shares it, and makes merit (puñña): this one who enjoys sensual pleasures, headman, may be praised on three grounds and criticized on one ground. On which three grounds may he be praised? In that he seeks wealth righteously, without violence — on this first ground he may be praised. In that he makes himself happy and satisfied — on this second ground he may be praised. In that he shares it and makes merit — on this third ground he may be praised. On which one ground may he be criticized? In that he seeks wealth unrighteously, with violence — on this one ground he may be criticized. This one who enjoys sensual pleasures, headman, may be praised on these three grounds and criticized on this one ground.
